Really cute, well-made wooden fire engine, just a fussy ladder

We picked this up for the kids and it went over great — it's a really cute little fire engine, and they took to it right away. It's a Mentari (the sister brand to Tender Leaf), so it's the nice wooden-toy kind: rubberwood and plywood, painted with non-toxic water-based paint, and it feels solid and well made instead of cheap and plasticky. The set comes with the engine, a little water hydrant, a barrier, an extendable wood ladder and a wind-up hose, so there's a bit more for them to do than just roll it around.A couple of things to flag. The ladder mechanism can be a little fussy for younger kids — it really only stands up properly in one position, so expect some "fix it for me" moments. And like most wooden toys, it's smaller than the photos make it look — roughly 9 inches — so set your expectations there. It's listed for age 3 and up.For a sturdy, well-made, sustainably-built toy that the kids actually reach for, this is still an easy 5 in our house. Recommend!
