Pound them down. Flip it over. Do it all again.

The Woodland Hammer Toy is one of those classic toddler toys that never gets old — and there's a very good reason for that. The four smiley-faced toadstools get hammered down with the bluebird-shaped mallet, and then the whole tray flips over so they can be hammered right back up again. The cause-and-effect loop is endlessly satisfying for toddlers, and the woodland theming — soft nature-inspired colors, a sweet bluebird hammer, cheerful toadstool faces — makes it one of the prettiest pounding toys on the market.

The chunky mallet is perfectly sized for little hands at 18 months, and the pounding action builds real physical strength and coordination at exactly the age when toddlers want to hit everything. Better this than the furniture.

It also pairs beautifully with the Early Bird Pop Up and Stacking Tree with Bird as part of the Toddler Bundle — all three share the same woodland bird theme and together make a complete and thoughtful gift.

Mushroom hammer toy!!

This items has a great playability to it. You can interact with this with two kiddos or a kiddo and a parent. The color is very basic but direct to the design this product was going for. The educational aspect makes a child use reasoning and understanding to know how to hit the hammer into the mushroom and get it all the way down and then proceed to get it out. So there's also more hand eye coordination with it as well. So this item makes things very educational and engaging. The noise level is loud if done on a table, so this is best done on a carpet or a non echo room.

So far best hammer toy yet !

My 2 yr old absolutely loved this! I originally got it for my baby, but I actually really like that my toddler found it challenging too. The wooden pieces are firm and take a little effort to push down, which makes it more engaging instead of being something she can easily finish right away.I think it’s a great little activity for working on coordination and fine motor skills while keeping them entertained. My only concern is that with time, the wood might loosen and lose some of its firmness, but we’ll see how it holds up with regular use.So far, we’re really enjoying it, and I love that it works for different ages. Definitely a fun Montessori-style toy to have around!
