The Mentari Wooden Stacking Kitten Toy is indeed a charming little thing. It's brilliantly designed with gender neutrality in mind and boasts a rather fetching kitten's head atop, adding loads of character. There's a genuine tactile pleasure in handling it, thanks to the smooth, sustainable wood used — an eco-friendly by-product of the rubber industry, kudos for that. However, upon arrival, it struck me just how tiny it is. The photos must have a touch of magic because, in person, it’s a lot smaller than I anticipated, measuring a petite 6 x 2.5 x 11.5cm. Yet, its size doesn’t detract from its developmental benefits; it's a fine tool for little ones to hone hand-eye coordination and dexterity, with a side of concentration to boot.At £11.95, it's a fair shake, especially with Amazon Prime's perks of gratis delivery and a 30-day return window. Just set your expectations on the size, and you and your tot will be as pleased as punch with this plastic-free plaything.

This stacker is very cute. The cat face is adorable. The wood is smooth and well finished. The colours are neutral and it would look nice in any kid's room. The toy is small, it feels a little ungenerous, but it is meant for little people to use. My 17 month old really enjoys taking the bits off and putting them back on the poleIt comes in a cardboard box. There is no tissue paper used to protect it or storage pieces rubbing or sticking in transit. The spike that the pieces get put onto is rigid, rather than having a bend like toys like this sometimes do. This makes it less safe for little kids to use as they can poke themselves with it and or fall/tread on it and hurt themselves more easily than if it bent.
