The tractor has a fixed wooden driver figure (that cannot be removed). Both the tractor and the trailer roll very smoothly on their wheels-- perfect for small hands to "drive" around. Everything is sized well for little children to grip and to manipulate. The trailer is easy to hook onto the back of the tractor, and it's likewise easy to remove at will. The set is excellent for screen-free imaginative play. It can be played with independently or can be added to a farm set. It can also be combined with a dollhouse set. The versatility is wonderful for young children.I really like that this is made with eco-friendly materials that are also safe for children. Again, this is a big improvement over plastic toys. This set is very, very well-made and is head and shoulders above a cheap plastic set-- this is made to last and to be passed from child to child. The smooth wood has no rough spots, and it's all very sturdy construction. The pieces can easily be wiped down. The style is completely classic and timeless, and the high-quality craftsmanship ensures that this set will be valued by children and parents alike.
